Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen Induction Therapy was recently introduced in the U.S. and it is an exciting new treatment performed by Dr. Fechner. The goal of this procedure is to create a new layer of collagen in previously damaged skin.

In contrast to conventional treatments like laser resurfacing, collagen induction therapy is non-ablative and it therefore can achieve its natural results without burning or removing the superficial epidermis.

The treatment involves the creation of thousands of microscopically small puncture clefts in the skin with the advantage of leaving the protective epidermis intact. This procedure induces the natural production of a new network of collagen and thereby it represents a good alternative for the treatment of scars including acne scars, lax skin, fine lines and wrinkles.

This procedure in combination with specially designed medical skin products ensures the best possible result with a fast recovery. Collagen induction therapy is safely performed in an outpatient setting with a 7-day recovery period.

A private consultation with Dr. Fechner will help our patients to determine if collagen induction therapy is right for their specific concerns.
