Guide to Injectable Fillers

We offer Restylane, Juvederm, Elevess, Perlane, Radiesse, Sculptra and Artefill. We also perform fat transfer (a.k.a. fat injection, fat grafting, lipo-grafting).

You Don’t Have to Be Einstein to Understand Fillers… But It Helps!

Botox is not a filler – it works by relaxing muscles that create unattractive wrinkles in areas where fillers are not safe or effective. It is best used for frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet. Botox can commonly create a temporary “chemical browlift” effect and end sweaty palms or armpits.

Thicker fillers (Perlane, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Elevess, Radiesse) last longer and fill more effectively, but must be placed deeper in the skin to prevent lumpiness. They are best used for nasolabial creases, marionette lines and sunken cheeks.

Thinner, finer fillers (Juvederm Ultra, Restylane) do not last as long or lift deep folds as well, but can safely be used to fill lips and more superficial lines. They are best used for lip lines, lip augmentation, nasolabial folds and tear troughs.

Sculptra is a volumizer and it is best used for sunken cheeks.

Artefill is ultra-long lasting, non-absorbable and made of polymethylmethacrylate microspheres suspended in a temporary bovine collagen gel carrier. It is best used for nasolabial creases and marionette lines.

Fat transfer (a.k.a. fat injection, fat grafting, lipo-grafting) is long-lasting, often providing enhancement for years to come. Although it can be used for all areas of missing volume, it is best for sculpting of the cheeks, temples, jaw line and under-eye areas.
