Dr. Joanna Ng-Glazier is a double board-certified plastic surgeon dedicated to helping patients feel confident, strong, and authentically themselves. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, she believes that surgery is more than a change in appearance—it is a pathway to self-care, personal growth, and long-lasting confidence.
Her journey began in Honolulu and brought her to Boston for medical training. She completed general surgery residency at Boston Medical Center, caring for complex trauma patients and appearing on ABC’s Save My Life. She then pursued a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, where her award-winning work in nerve regeneration gained international recognition. Her advanced plastic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) further refined her artistry and compassionate leadership skills.
For five years at Emerson Hospital, Dr. Ng-Glazier focused on breast aesthetics and reconstruction, body contouring, facial rejuvenation, and injectables, caring for patients after weight loss, pregnancy, and cancer treatment. She also served as Director of Medical Education and Medical Director of the surgical APP service while speaking at national meetings, appearing in The Boston Globe, and contributing to podcasts and panels.
Now, Dr. Ng-Glazier brings her elite skill and passion to Fechner MD. The practice has been known for its leadership in facial plastic surgery for years. With her arrival, patients can access the same trusted, safety-driven environment for breast and body procedures. Together, Dr. Fechner and Dr. Ng-Glazier offer a full spectrum of surgical excellence.
