Jaimie Russell

Surgical Technician

Jaimie holds her national certification in Surgical Technology. Immediately following college Jaimie started her career in a hospital and has gained valuable experience being in a variety of operating room settings. Jaimie was a vital part of a hair transplant team for a small private practice in upstate NY.

Jaimie became an integral part of Dr. Fechner's surgical team in 2015. She has been able to assist in providing the highly personalized patient care and extraordinary surgical results for which our practice is best known for. Jaimie enjoys working alongside Dr. Fechner on each patient’s case and helping a patient achieve their desired surgical results.

Jaimie enjoys being with her husband and daughter, riding ATVs, exploring the outdoors and participating in charity rides on their motorcycle.

Ana Blackmore

Registered Nurse — Surgery

Ana joined our team as a surgical nurse in early 2016. Prior to working with Dr. Fechner, Ana worked in a busy plastic surgery center for 3 years. She brings a wealth of nursing knowledge as well as the ability to care for our patients across the continuum of their surgical experience. Ana spends the majority of her time in our fully accredited surgery center but she also enjoys meeting new patients in consultations and assisting our providers with injections.

Ana and her husband have two boys. She enjoys watching football, spending time with her family and being outdoors.

Vanessa Marshall

Nurse Practitioner

Vanessa Marshall is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from MGH-Institute of health professions in Charlestown, MA. Vanessa has experience in both Neurosurgery and Vascular surgery.  Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Vanessa worked for 6+ years as an RN in the field of emergency medicine. In addition to her vast experience, Vanessa was the co-owner of a small nurse practitioner run aesthetic business where she gained experience in neurotoxins and dermal fillers.

Vanessa enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends and most importantly her husband, their son Robby Jr and their 2 dogs Dozer and Digger. Vanessa also enjoys cooking, camping, exercising and spending time outdoors.

Sarah Wascavage

Nurse Practitioner

Sarah Wascavage is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. Sarah has experience as an Endocrinology nurse practitioner. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Sarah worked for 8+ years as an RN in the intensive care unit. In addition to her nursing experience, Sarah was the owner of a small aesthetic injectable business.

“Becoming a part of the Fechner MD team has been one of the most rewarding and amazing experiences for me. It is truly my dream job and I have a passion for helping people become their best self.”

Sarah enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, her husband, Brian, her step-sons, Zachary and Nicholas, and their bulldog, Ralphie. Sarah also enjoys working out, crossfit, nutrition and going on vacations.

Nicole Wante

Surgical Technician

Nicole joined Dr. Fechner’s practice as a Client Service Specialist in 2018. In 2019, Nicole transitioned to her role as a Surgical Technician, working closely with Dr. Fechner and his clinical team. Nicole and her Surgical Technician mentor, Jaimie, pride themselves in maintaining a sterile and comfortable OR for Dr. Fechner’s patients. As a licensed Aesthetician, a certified personal trainer, and former Veterinary Technician in the United States Army, Nicole brings strong discipline and knowledge to the practice.

Set your heart on doing good, smile more, have fun and keep putting on your lipstick!

In her personal time, Nicole loves to focus on her physical fitness, living a healthy lifestyle and spending time with her family and her dog, Mondo.

Jennifer Verdini

Medical Esthetician

Jennifer Verdini is an NCEA (National Coalition of Estheticians and Associates) certified aesthetician with 22 years of aesthetic industry experience. In addition she is a certified Microblader and permanent makeup artist. She joined Dr. Fechner’s practice in 2011. Her multi-faceted career ranges from working in a clinical skin care office to luxury day spa facility and international cosmetic company. Jennifer has received multiple certifications for skin care treatments, and advanced technological modalities. She specializes in non- invasive device technologies, medical skincare management micro-pigmentation and patient treatment coordinating.

“I feel very fortunate to work in the field that I do. Every day I have the opportunity to meet outstanding people. I enjoy educating and sharing my knowledge of the skin and providing effective treatments that help to improve the health and appearance of one’s skin. I believe if we focus on improving skin health we will always look young and beautiful.”

Lisa Noel

Patient Advisor

Lisa joined Dr. Fechner’s practice in 2013 as a front desk supervisor before leaving a 12 year management career in the salon/spa industry. In 2016 she transitioned to the role of Patient Advisor, guiding our surgical patients on their journeys. She enjoys working with patients and aims to make their experience comfortable with her warm and caring nature.

Lisa is the proud mother of two daughters and a four beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, decorating, the outdoors and in particular boating, but spending time with her family is her greatest joy.

Lindsey Braga

Patient Advisor

Lindsey joined Dr. Fechner’s practice in 2018 as a Client Service Specialist and has since transitioned to the role of Patient Advisor, assisting patients on their surgical journey. Lindsey is a former Cheerleader for the 5x Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. Lindsey also has extensive client relations experience which she garnered in the wealth management and animal care fields.

“I am thrilled to be part of a team that works closely together as a family and promotes a positive, self-love message. Watching patients reach their beauty goals with the help of our clinicians’ expertise is so rewarding.”

Outside of the office Lindsey enjoys being outdoors and exploring her favorite New England spots in Cape Cod, Newport & Kennebunkport. Her happiness comes from time spent making memories with her husband Jason, daughter Lily, and their 3 pups Chewy, Cha Cha & Rocco.

Jessica Draper

Medical Esthetician

Jessica joined Dr. Fechners practice in 2019 as a Client Service Specialist and has transitioned into the Medical Spa as a Medical Aesthetician. Jessica came to our practice with a wealth of knowledge, having previously worked in sales and management in the aesthetics industry. She is passionate about skin care, and her main goal is to ensure that every patient has a positive experience as well as an amazing transformation. Since earning her Esthetics license as a graduate of Spa Tech Institute in December 2020, Jessica has developed her knowledge of the skin and has refined her skills in advanced aesthetic techniques. Jessica provides minimally and non-invasive facial and body treatments while using her experience as a patient coordinator to offer excellent customer service to patients from all backgrounds.

Tamika Brissett

Client Service Specialist

Tamika joined Dr. Fechner's practice in October 2021 as a Client Service Specialist. She has worked for 7 years in Customer Service Management and Sales, most recently with Hilton hotels. Tamika has always had a love for Medical Aesthetics and started working in the field in the year 2019. Tamika takes great pride in working with patients to ensure that they are matched with the best provider for them so that they can achieve their aesthetic goals!

In her free time, Tamika enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband.

Penny McLaren

Practice Manager

“After climbing the corporate ladder for my first 10 years out of college, good fortune allowed me to become a stay at home mom and pursue certification in interior design, a secret passion. In 2004, the opportunity to once again apply my management skills presented itself and I quickly became part of a small team expanding this practice in one of the fastest growing fields of medicine — facial plastic surgery. While I was new to the health care industry, I have found the experience and challenges to be nothing less than exciting and enormously fulfilling. It is a pleasure to work with a professional team that aims to deliver the highest level of personalized care for a wonderfully diverse group of patients and to make positive changes that impact people’s daily lives!”

Penny holds a BS in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from WPI. She and her husband, Bob, have two children.

Elena Fechner

Business Manager

Elena joined the practice in 2012 to assist with the development of the non- surgical and advanced treatment technologies in the office and to manage human resources and the business operations. Although more “behind the scenes”, Elena enjoys interacting with all employees and patients alike. She comes from a 16 year long career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, and has brought strategic thinking and business skills with her to help guide the tremendous growth that the practice has seen.

In her free time she enjoys being with her husband and three children, and experiencing the day to day pleasures of life with them! She likes cooking, horseback riding, and is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Doris Howerton

Compliance Officer

Doris joined the practice in 2009. As Staff Assistant and HIPAA Compliance Officer, Doris offers support to administrative, aesthetic and clinical staff members. Recently, most of Doris’ time is spent on projects and accreditation work. She still enjoys working with patients and takes great pride in addressing each patient’s individual needs.

Doris is fluent in German and received a JD from the University of Connecticut. Although Doris is a two time cancer survivor, her greatest accomplishment is having raised two wonderful sons.

The past several months have been unlike anything we've ever experienced, and we're working hard to evolve so that we can continue to provide you with the patient experience you have come to expect from our practice.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, Fechner MD Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa has taken extreme precautionary measures, in addition to following the most up to date CDC recommendations and state guidelines to maximize the health and safety of our patients, staff and facility. Our surgical center and medical spa remain committed to providing the best patient care, and we are actively working to take all necessary precautions as we plan to safely re-open our practice. Please help us continue to protect the health and well-being of our patients and workplace by cooperating with all of our precautionary measures and protocols against COVID-19 at your next appointment, or as you plan for your surgery.



As a fully accredited surgical facility, Fechner MD has always observed the highest level of safety and sanitation. In fact, as a surgeon, Dr. Fechner is an expert in infection control. We want to ensure that we are doing everything possible for our patients to safely return for surgical and medical spa treatments alike.

  • Our accredited practice is exclusively reserved for our patients and staff.
  • Our facility is in a single, free standing building only occupied by our practice. This allows us to limit foot traffic to our patients and staff only.
  • Our staff work only at our facility and all travel in private transport. All of us are otherwise self-isolating at home.
  • We closely monitor our staff for symptoms and elevated temperature daily.
  • We sterilize all our instruments in house further reducing potential exposure.
  • We have PPE to meet our needs.
  • All our staff members will be using appropriate PPE including N95 masks and protective facei shields, goggles and head coverings.
  • We have purchased and installed air scrubbers throughout the facility to clean the air while the practice is open to patients.
  • We have purchased and installed ozone generators designed to sanitize the air in the facility at the end of each day.
  • We have purchased and installed touchless hand sanitizer units throughout the building.
  • We have purchased and installed plexi-glass protective shields in the reception area to provide a protective barrier for staff and patients.
  • Our staff continues to adhere to social distancing guidelines within our facility.
  • We have implemented a stringent survey and testing protocol for staff and patients.
  • We have implemented a virtual check in/ check out process for our patients.
  • We have ensured that there is minimum interaction of patients with other people while in the office.
  • We will continue to offer virtual consults and virtual follow up visits.
  • We provide you with a touchless payment system.

The upgraded work flow and safety protocols we have implemented at Fechner MD far exceed those being recommended by any government agency.



Fechner MD will adhere to all local, state, and government mandates. We expect to cautiously resume medical spa and injectable treatments during Phase 2 of the Massachusetts phased reopening. We are awaiting a definitive date from Governor Baker. Cosmetic surgery is expected to resume during Phase 3 of Governor Baker’s plan. We ask for your patience and understanding as our staff is working diligently to reschedule all surgeries and procedures affected by our closure. Please understand that in order to open and adhere to Massachusetts guidelines, we will need to limit the number of staff and patients we have in our building and extend the time between patient appointments in order to sanitize rooms. This means we will have fewer available openings for procedures. In order to maximize our provider appointments, we will continue to hold consultations virtually rather than in person, with a few exceptions (body contouring, Instalift, vein treatments).



  • We will do our best to accommodate your preferred appointment date and time, but we very much appreciate your flexibility during this unprecedented time.
  • When booking your appointment, we will ask for your payment information to be securely stored in our payment system. The card you provide will be the card used to pay for your services. This will allow for a touchless checkout.
  • Required forms and documents will be sent to you electronically two days prior to your scheduled appointment via our new patient app, Touch MD. Touch MD will allow you to receive, review and sign documents directly from your personal cell phone.
  • One hour prior to your appointment, we will send you the Covid-19 Wellness Screening document to be completed via Touch MD. This must be completed prior to entering the building.



  • When you arrive for your scheduled appointment time, we ask that you park and remain in your car. Please send us a text message or call to let us know that you have arrived for your appointment.
  • When your provider is ready for your treatment, she will call or text you to let you know you may proceed to our vestibule.
  • Please leave your coat and personal belongings in your car.
  • Please do not bring along family or friends, unless you require physical assistance. They will not be allowed entry to the building.
  • Please wear your mask prior to entering the building and throughout your appointment. Should your mask need to be removed for treatment, your provider will let you know when to safely remove it.
  • Your provider will greet you at the door and will take a no contact temperature reading. *Any patient with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be asked to leave the building and their appointment will be rescheduled a minimum of 14 days later.
  • You will be escorted immediately to a treatment room. Our waiting room will not be open during this time.
  • After your procedure or treatment the provider will collect payment via our secure payment system with the information you provided at booking.
  • Your provider will book a virtual follow up appointment with you, if necessary, and will escort you to the exit.
