This advanced system is one of a wide array of non-surgical treatments offered at Fechner MD Medical Spa, where advanced cosmetic technology is utilized in customized treatment plans to maximize the rejuvenation of face and body. Every patient can expect highly-personalized care and treatment, delivered with compassion and the highest level of skill. Painless and non-invasive, the Venus Freeze treatment has been successfully used for over two years. With the introduction of the new and expanded Venus equipment, we are excited to be able to offer more advanced technology for even greater benefit for our patients.

For the face and neck including fat pads under the chin, the Venus treatments can be used to tone and tighten the skin and deeper tissues. For the body including arms, belly, hips, back, thighs and buttocks, nonsurgical body contouring is now possible. This noninvasive contouring includes cellulite reduction, skin tightening and smoothing of bulges and pouches. A series of 6 to 10 weekly treatments is usually recommended to achieve the most attractive result in skin rejuvenation. Benefits become noticeable around the 5th treatment with optimal results seen 2-3 months after the last treatment. To maintain visible results, maintenance treatments are recommended 4 times a year.

How does Venus Legacy work?

As part of the natural aging process, the skin loses its natural firmness and elasticity, and begins to sag and droop. This is a result of the breakdown of collagen within the structure.

The cells that produce new collagen (called fibroblasts) decrease in number and become less productive as the years pass. Venus Legacy is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes multipolar radio frequency, pulsed electromagnetic fields, and VariPulse technologies to smooth and tighten the skin on both the face and body by modifying the existing collagen bundles and triggering new production of elastic fibers and supportive skin structures. Who is a candidate for Venus Freeze and Venus Legacy?

Although many people with aging concerns of their face, neck and body could benefit from cosmetic surgery, some patients do not want to undergo a surgical procedure. Venus treatments have the advantage of painless toning and sculpting without downtime. The Venus Legacy treatments can be performed in patients as young as 18 years old and in patients in their 60s or 70s. The ideal candidate is a young patient in their 30s to 40s who is bothered by early signs of skin and body aging.

This treatment pairs well with Cellfina and Coolsculpting. It is great for anyone looking to smooth and tone the face and body, and is a MUST HAVE for post baby bellies!

How does Venus Legacy target Cellulite?

Cellulite is an unattractive problem, most commonly appearing on thighs, buttocks and waist of many people. As fine collagen fibers of the skin lose their resilience and strength over time, larger fibrous strands remain, allowing pockets of surface fat to start to bulge, appearing as unsightly bumps and depressions.

The Venus treatments for cellulite produce an increase in blood flow, trigger the body to produce new healthy collagen and tighten existing collagen strands, smoothing the appearance of unsightly cellulite.

The Venus Legacy Technology and the Venus Freeze Treatment

Venus Freeze relies on the Multi Polar Radiofrequency and Magnetic Pulse technology, or MP2. The radiofrequency generator produces alternating electrical currents within the deeper skin at high frequencies of 1MHz. This leads to activation of multiple cells and allows for uniform temperature changes deep within the skin structure.

Positive Effects of Multi Polar Radiofrequency

The radiofrequency energy is transmitted through the skin’s surface (epidermis) affecting the deeper layers including the dermis and subcutaneous fat. Collagen fibers become immediately shorter and thicker and contract and tighten the area. Lipids stored within the fat cells also break down and are then released and shed for the added benefit of reduced fat volume.

Pulsed Magnetic Fields and Collagen Production

The Venus treatment triggers new collagen production through the thermal effect provided by the radiofrequency and the pulsed magnetic fields. Fibroblast are the cells that manufacture collagen within the human body. The magnetic field pulses of the Venus Legacy device stimulate the body to produce new natural collagen. The Venus system with its magnetic fields and radio-frequency energy produces a tighter and more resilient collagen network.

The Benefits of Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields for Vascular Regeneration

Electromagnetic fields have been applied in treatments of poorly healing bone fractures for many years. This advanced technology has only recently been discovered to provide exceptional cosmetic benefits. Ten years ago, a research group at New York University demonstrated that pulsed electromagnetic fields can induce vascular growth, both in the petri dish and in real life.

This action, called angiogenesis, is due to the release of fibroblastic growth factors through the electromagnetic interaction. The Venus Freeze and advanced Venus Legacy treatments are one of the most exciting new developments in aesthetic technology, and we are pleased to offer this treatment at our Medical Spa.

Skin Rejuvenation with the Venus System

MP2 technology delivers its benefits through several interactions triggered within the deep skin and fat tissue, including production of new collagen, remodeling existing strands, producing a tighter and more youthful skin structure, along with improved blood flow to the treated area.

Given the complexity of tissue aging with the slow breakdown of cells and the supporting skin structure, The Venus treatments represent one of the most impressive anti-aging treatments available today. Find out more by contacting our discreet, luxury center in Worcester.

WHEN WILL FECHNER MD PLASTIC SURGERY & MEDICAL SPA OPEN?

Fechner MD will adhere to all local, state, and government mandates. We expect to cautiously resume medical spa and injectable treatments during Phase 2 of the Massachusetts phased reopening. We are awaiting a definitive date from Governor Baker. Cosmetic surgery is expected to resume during Phase 3 of Governor Baker’s plan. We ask for your patience and understanding as our staff is working diligently to reschedule all surgeries and procedures affected by our closure. Please understand that in order to open and adhere to Massachusetts guidelines, we will need to limit the number of staff and patients we have in our building and extend the time between patient appointments in order to sanitize rooms. This means we will have fewer available openings for procedures. In order to maximize our provider appointments, we will continue to hold consultations virtually rather than in person, with a few exceptions (body contouring, Instalift, vein treatments).
